Angela Evelyn Bassett was born in America. Since the late 80s Angela Evelyn has appeared on film and television. Her work has been recognized with numerous awards including sixteen NAACP Image Awards. Bassett was raised in New York New York and was raised by her aunt who lived in Winston-Salem North Carolina. Bassett moved with her twin sister in St. Petersburg Florida at age five in order so that they could be near their mom and father, who had separated from their dad. Bassett was inspired to become an actor after watching the production Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, starring James Earl Jones. Yale University New Haven Connecticut gave her a bachelor's degree (1980) which was in African American study, and a graduate degree (1983) in the Yale School of Drama. While at Yale she met Courtney B. Vance a fellow actor and the two got married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. degree in African-American studies, 1980, Master of Fine Arts degree from the Yale School of Drama School: Jordan Park Elementary School Disston Middle School (seventh grade) Azalea Middle School (eighth and ninth grade) Boca Ciega High School. Angela Bassett is currently working as one of the main characters in the film Ramonda in the action adventure film i.e. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022).
