Aurora

Aurora Aksnes was born on 15 June 1996 in Stavanger Norway. She is professionally known as Aurora and occasionally stylized using the letters in uppercase as AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves was released through the label Decca Records in May 2015 and received a lot of praise from bloggers as well as the media. Half the World Away - by the Oasis to accompany John Lewis' Christmas ad and Nature Boy - by Nat King Cole is already two covers worth noting that the singer has created. Katy Perry's endorsement of the song Runaway via a blog post gave the artist some additional acknowledgement. Make it a special day for her. Aurora Aksnes earliest musical memory is of finding an attic piano and being awed by the music it could make. Jan Oystein Aksnes and May-Britt Aksnes encouraged Aurora to study music, not as work or for a passion however, as a chance to develop. In order to do so she started writing her own new compositions. She acknowledges Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen as well as Bjork for being among her inspirations. When her mother told her that the songs she wrote might not make her famous however, but to encourage individuals to recognize the value of themselves and their impact on the world, she started playing them on stage. She began playing the piano as her primary instrument when she was six. She began writing music when she turned nine. The fact that she was a musician wasn't known to her family members until she was fourteen. Aurora did not have a set goal. As she says, she enjoys writing songs. She believes music can make people feel more relaxed.
